My wardrobe use to be a nightmare. Full of clothes and accessories I never used. Most of the things didn’t even match and some were uncomfortable and didn’t know where to wear them. I decided to declutter all and create basic wardrobe with neutral colour pallet.
Made a decision on colour palette and keep it plain and basic, as it’s easier to mix and match:
- Black
- White
- Grey
- Denim
The bare necessities:
- 3 tank tops (black, white, grey)
- 3 t-shirts (black, white, grey)
- 3 sweaters ( light knitted, cardigan, cotton cable knit)
- 1 hoodie(grey)
- 2 button down shirts(black, white)
- 2 blouses (dressy, black and white)
- 2 blazers (black, white)
- 2 jackets (black leather, denim or army type)
- 2 coats (warm one for winter and waterproof)
- 2 jeans (denim blue and black)
- 2 classic trousers (black, grey)
- 2 shorts (denim, casual)
- 2 leggings (black leather, black cotton)
- 2 skirts (pencil, flowy)
- 2 dresses (black dressy, black casual)
- 8 pairs of socks
- 8 pairs of underwear
- 2 runners
- 2 boots (ankle and knee high)
- 1 heels
- 2 sandals
- 2 slip-ons
- 2 hats (for summer and for winter)
- 2 bags (clutch, casual)
- 2 belts (dressy, casual)
- Casual jewellery (gold, silver, pearls)
These basics should last for many years, but it’s important replace an item with new one if it’s worn off.
